Description
Our scaffolding stair unit is deigned to be used with our WT56.4 Safeway-style (blue) walk-thru scaffolding frames. These stairs hook into the inside of the frame allowing you to create a stairwell out of your scaffolding. The stairs can be configured to either access multiple levels of scaffolding or for top access only. The scaffolding stair unit comes with inside and outside hand rails. The first level of stairs will require a starter bar. Multiple level access will require you to add extra guardrails and planks.
Using stairs to access scaffolding has several advantages over ladders. First, they are safer. With stairs, there is less chance of a fall. If someone does fall, they will only fall at most down one flight of stairs. Second, they allow for faster and more efficient access to the scaffolding platform. Multiple people can use stairs at one time and your crews will be able to carry their own tools up and down the stairs. With a ladder, all the tools have to be hoisted up or brought up with a forklift.
